Housekeeping Manager

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and appearance of all guest rooms and public areas at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising personnel in the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are performed up to the standards of HMP Properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create daily assignments and plans for housekeeping staff.
  • Supervise and monitor duties of room inspectors, room attendants, houseman, laundry, and night houseman.
  • Interview, hire, train, and schedule department personnel.
  • Handle guest complaints and maintain an inventory of supplies.
  • Inspect guest rooms daily and ensure cleanliness standards are met.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
  • Detail-oriented in room inspections.
  • Teamwork-oriented with the ability to manage staff effectively.

Education and Experience

High school diploma required; 3 or more years of hotel operations experience preferred.

Language and Computer Skills

Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking. Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Office 365.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform essential job functions.

Must work well in a stressful environment, communicate effectively, and handle guest interactions.
