Job Description

This position as a Housing Case Manager at YWCA Evanston North Shore, located in Evanston, Illinois, involves identifying and addressing the housing needs of survivors of domestic violence in suburban Cook County. The role includes conducting standardized assessments, providing housing navigation services, engaging with the community to advocate for survivors, and maintaining updated housing resources information. The Housing Case Manager will also collaborate with stakeholders to support survivors and ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with homeless service providers and agencies assisting survivors.
  • Conduct standardized assessments and navigate housing options for individuals and families.
  • Advocate for clients with housing providers and maintain supportive relationships.
  • Develop housing training curricula, deliver engaging training sessions, and contribute to program development.
  • Cultivate strategic community partnerships and attend stakeholder meetings to advocate for survivors.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent education required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in social services working directly with clients, and experience with trauma survivors.
  • Licenses/Certificates: Illinois 40-Hour Domestic Violence Certificate, valid driver's license, and First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, access to personal auto, and preferred fluency in Spanish.
