Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and other coatings, and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Apply paint and other coatings using a variety of techniques, including spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
- Follow and understand all specifications for coatings application from the manufacturer.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
- Operate all coatings equipment including guns, hoppers, pressure pots, airless system, blast media application, and the wheelbarator.
- Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating qualifications by performing visual inspections or using viscometers.
- Clean and maintain all coating equipment properly.
- Ensure high standard of quality and safety in all work.
- Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Industrial Painter.
- Knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
- Ability to mix and match paint colors per customer specifications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
