Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Intern - Renewable Energy Developer to join our team at BHE Renewables, LLC. This position is ideal for college students pursuing a degree in business or geographic information systems (GIS) who are looking to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy industry. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, analyze development opportunities, and contribute to our growing team. This is a temporary, non-exempt position located primarily in Des Moines, IA, with consideration for Portland, OR.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate renewable energy development opportunities across multiple states and utility territories.
- Assist in data gathering and analysis related to interconnection studies and project locations.
- Provide recommendations to management on market opportunities and competitive intelligence.
Qualifications
- College or graduate student in GIS or business program.
- Previous experience in the utility, energy, or renewable industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in software tools for data extraction and analysis.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
