Internal Auditor

Job Description

Team One Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team. This full-time role will play a vital part in enhancing our operations by ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations while identifying areas for improvement. As our Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for performing audits, presenting findings, advising management, and supporting the implementation of risk management measures.

Responsibilities

• Perform full audit cycles to assess operational effectiveness and financial compliance.
• Develop annual audit plans and scopes for approval.
• Analyze financial records and documentation to identify deviations and recommend solutions.
• Act as an independent advisor to management and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Communicate audit findings to management and assist in policy and procedure enhancements.
• Collaborate with external auditors, regulators, and examiners as required.
• Conduct branch audits to ensure compliance and recommend improvements.

Ideal Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of auditing experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
