Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team at Gothenburg Health. As a Lab Tech, you will play a crucial role in analyzing clinical specimens to provide essential information for patient diagnosis and treatment. Your responsibilities will include prioritizing workflow, collecting samples, performing tests, and ensuring accurate reporting of results.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize workflow to deliver timely lab results.
- Perform phlebotomy and urine collection procedures accurately.
- Operate lab equipment safely and proficiently for testing.
- Analyze specimens following laboratory procedures for accurate results.
- Utilize software to report test results correctly.
- Participate in training, education, and quality assurance projects.
- Support the implementation of new procedures or instruments.
- Maintain lab functions and duties for seamless care continuity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Baccalaureate or associate degree in medical technology.
- Certification with ASCP or AMT.
