Job Description

The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking Licensed Nurse Assistants (LNAs) to join the team at the newly opening alternative care unit, Shep 3 North. This unit will cater to 18-20 long-term care patients with various diagnoses. As an LNA, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including tasks such as taking vital signs, responding to call lights, and assisting with personal care. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication skills, reliability, flexibility, compassion, and empathy. A focus on teamwork and delivering exceptional patient care is essential in our fast-paced inpatient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take vital signs and respond to patient needs.
  • Document patient information in Electronic Medical Records.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing and skin care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

  • LNA licensure in the State of Vermont.
  • Preferred experience in Long Term Care.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to thrive in a challenging environment.
