Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, ensuring that clients receive the best possible care in a cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and respectful environment for clients, families, and colleagues.
• Administer medication following established policies and procedures.
• Observe clients for intoxication signs and medication side effects.
• Maintain accurate medication records and client medical documentation.
• Participate in health teaching, counseling, and supportive care activities.
• Adhere to the scope of practice and act as a role model for staff and clients.
• Engage in ongoing training, education, and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Current NYS LPN License and Infection Control Certificate.
• Minimum one year of experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in English language and basic computer skills.
