Job Description
Quality Correctional Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the LaPorte County Correctional Facility. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing medical care to incarcerated individuals. This role involves administering medication, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the medical team to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in treating patients with various medical conditions.
- Administer medication and track patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on healthcare needs.
- Respond to medical emergencies and work with medical and correctional staff.
Requirements
- LPN or RN licensure.
- Minimum of six months recent medical experience.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, lift, and bend as required.
- Ability to work full-time including rotating weekends.
