Job Description
GENESYS Health Alliance is looking for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to serve as the North Georgia Region Floater Nurse, covering shifts at various sites including Burke County Jail, Fayette County Jail, Floyd County Jail, and Floyd County Prison. Position Summary
This position entails traveling to different locations, maintaining a professional demeanor, and upholding GENESYS Health policies and procedures. The role requires handling various tasks at the designated sites, with a travel component of 30% and possible overnight stays for visits, training, and meetings.
Education/Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current multistate license
- Preferably, prior experience in a correctional environment
- Proficiency in problem-solving and computer skills
- Current certification in basic life support and first aid
- Clear security background and satisfactory motor vehicle report
General Duties
- Administer patient treatments and medication as directed
- Assist with sick call and patient screenings
- Execute nursing care plans and ensure area security during treatments
