Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As the Care Team Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical leadership within the care team. Working under the supervision of healthcare professionals, you will ensure the smooth operation of medical services, manage high-risk patients, offer patient education, conduct direct care procedures, perform laboratory services, and handle telephone triage.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in infection control practices.
• Provide age-appropriate care for pediatric patients.
• Assess and address the physical, emotional, and socio-economic needs of patients and families.
• Offer urgent care both in the office and via telephone triage.
• Accurately document nursing care using EMR systems.
• Facilitate communication among patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures efficiently.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization care and prevent readmissions.
• Participate in ongoing pediatric-centered education and training.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team.
• Proficiency in handling sensitive medical information and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and email.

Educational Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a current LPN license in Massachusetts. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, ongoing CEU compliance, and adherence to ANA standards are required.
