Job Description

We are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Correctional Care team at Denver Health. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, ensuring the well-being of our patients in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement nursing interventions based on patient needs and care plans.
  • Maintain a comprehensive scope of practice for clinical care across different patient demographics.
  • Administer medications safely and collect laboratory samples as required.
  • Document patient care goals and progress accurately for continuity of treatment.
  • Contribute to quality improvement through chart audits and clinical data collection.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and completion of a nursing education program for LPNs.
  • Less than 1 year of Correctional Care experience preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR and LPN licensing by the Colorado State Board of Nursing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse patient interactions.
