LICENSED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN - Full Time/ Overnights

Salary: $25 – 28/ hour
Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join the Emergency and Critical Care department. In this role, you will triage incoming patients, assist in patient assessment and diagnostics, obtain laboratory samples, utilize imaging modalities, and manage sedation and anesthesia. Technicians typically work 3, 12-hour shifts per week with one overnight shift required. Compensation is based on skills and experience. New Graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Triaging patients and managing clients
- Assisting in patient assessment, treatments, and procedures
- Obtaining and processing laboratory samples
- Utilizing imaging modalities
- Managing sedation and anesthesia
Requirements
- State of New York Veterinary Technician license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in computer skills and paperless information systems
