Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as the North Georgia Region Floater Nurse. In this role, you will cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities, including Burke County Jail, Fayette County Jail, Floyd County Jail, and Floyd County Prison. GENESYS Health Alliance is dedicated to providing quality healthcare in correctional settings and is committed to being a leader in the industry.
Position Summary
This position involves traveling to different locations, maintaining a positive attitude, and upholding professional standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, correctional experience, and be proficient in computer applications. A current healthcare provider basic life support certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient treatments as prescribed.
- Screen and assist patients during sick calls.
- Administer medications following protocols.
- Implement nursing care plans for inmates.
- Ensure the security of the area and medications.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active multistate nursing license.
- Clear security background and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
