Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the physical structure of our hotel, providing a comfortable and safe environment for our guests. You will perform a variety of tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor and routine maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Replace air-conditioner filters and maintain heating and cooling systems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory supplies.
- Inspect guest rooms and common areas, addressing any issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience preferred.
- Technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work with financial data and basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements
This role requires long hours standing, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities and fluency in English are essential.
