Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Freeman Webb Company. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the physical plant under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. Your duties will include a wide range of maintenance tasks from electrical repairs to carpentry work and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various maintenance projects.
• Perform electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Replace broken fixtures, appliances, and locks.
• Paint, perform carpentry work, and assist in custodial tasks.
• Maintain equipment and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Ensure safety and security by inspecting units and storage areas.
• Assist in keeping supplies organized and maintaining a clean workspace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Basic math skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Physical Demands

The role requires standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights. It also demands physical strength and agility.

Work Environment

You will work in various environments, sometimes exposed to weather conditions and mechanical parts. Safety is a priority.
