Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our dedicated pump team at Holland Pump Company. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical problems with rental equipment, specifically troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines. The ideal candidate should have formal mechanic training, proven experience with diesel engines, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with rental equipment.
• Repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair various diesel engines such as Perkins, John Deere, Mitsubishi, and more.
• Perform regular maintenance work, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
• Provide customer service and explain repair needs and processes.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Formal mechanic training from a trade school or accredited institution.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
