Mechanic

Job Description

We are hiring a Master Mechanic to perform repair work and maintenance for tractors, trailers, and other motor vehicles at RICH TRANSPORT LLC. As a crucial member of our team, you will consult with drivers to identify mechanical issues, diagnose problems using visual and computer diagnostic tools, and conduct repairs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Consult with drivers to gather vehicle history and identify maintenance needs.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform tests on vehicle parts and systems to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs, including post-repair testing.

Requirements

• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in using computer diagnostic tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of related experience.
• CDL is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat during repairs.
• Capability to lift 50 pounds and work in a noisy environment.
• Visual acuity for inspecting repair work.
