Job Description: Certified Medical Assistant
Community Health and Dental Care (CHDC), a non-profit community health center in Pottstown, PA, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Participate in morning team huddles and pre-visit planning activities.
- Prepare exam rooms, patients for exams, treatments, and assist providers.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and document patient data accurately.
- Collect and process specimens for lab testing, order diagnostic studies, and maintain inventory.
- Ensure patient dignity, confidentiality, and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Coordinate patient flow, act as a clinical preceptor, and perform delegated tasks promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school or formal training program.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with EMRs like NextGen.
- CPR certification, CMA/RMA certification, and prior physician office experience preferred.
