Position: Medical Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $18-25 per hour (based on experience)
PhysicianOne Urgent Care, a rapidly growing Urgent Care provider in the Northeast, is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their passionate team. The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience and be certified or registered as a Medical Assistant. This position will involve a dynamic schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holiday shifts.
Primary Functions
Clinical
- Prepare patient rooms and equipment
- Obtain and document patient information
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Perform lab tests and diagnostic procedures
- Ensure patient flow and HIPAA compliance
Occupational Health
- Training provided for specialized tests
Administrative
- Handle patient check-in and registration
- Verify insurance information
- Process payments and provide account information

Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Completion of a recognized medical assistance program
- 1-2 years of Medical Assisting experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems
- Commitment to excellence in healthcare
