Medical Technologist, Full-Time WEO Nights

Job Description

Johnson Regional Medical Center is looking for a full-time Medical Technologist to join our team on WEO Nights. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for processing laboratory specimens, performing high-complexity testing, maintaining quality control practices, and inventory management across various areas of the clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity testing including blood bank, microbiology, and manual differentials.
• Inventory and order supplies for different laboratory areas.
• Ensure accurate documentation of procedures for statistics and billing.
• Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology.
• 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory for candidates with an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment safely and efficiently.

Physical Demands

This position may involve exposure to biological, chemical, and mechanical hazards. Candidates should be able to lift up to 35 pounds, stand and walk frequently, and operate various laboratory equipment.
