Job Description
Marion County Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced Mental Health Skills Trainer to join the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) team in Supportive Housing. This part-time position involves working with individuals with serious mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use disorders to promote independence and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide social and skills training tailored to individual service plans.
- Offer case management services to help individuals access community resources and housing.
- Supervise and monitor individuals to ensure compliance with conditional release orders.
- Maintain the PSRB supportive housing setting including ordering supplies and organizing residence.
- Collaborate with a team of mental health professionals for clinical supervision and treatment planning.
Requirements
- Three years of relevant work experience in behavioral health services or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Current MHACBO Qualified Mental Health Associate certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
- Knowledge of mental health concepts, community resources, and de-escalation strategies.
