Mental Health Skills Trainer - Psychiatric Security Review Board - Supportive Housing - Part-time

Job Description

Marion County Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced Mental Health Skills Trainer to join the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) team in Supportive Housing. This part-time position involves working with individuals with serious mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use disorders to promote independence and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide social and skills training tailored to individual service plans.
• Offer case management services to help individuals access community resources and housing.
• Supervise and monitor individuals to ensure compliance with conditional release orders.
• Maintain the PSRB supportive housing setting including ordering supplies and organizing residence.
• Collaborate with a team of mental health professionals for clinical supervision and treatment planning.

Requirements

• Three years of relevant work experience in behavioral health services or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Current MHACBO Qualified Mental Health Associate certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
• Knowledge of mental health concepts, community resources, and de-escalation strategies.
