Job Description

Join Marion County as a Mental Health Skills Trainer in Supported Employment, where you can make a positive impact on individuals with severe mental illness. You will be responsible for assisting individuals in finding and maintaining employment that aligns with their preferences, utilizing an evidence-based program that integrates job development, career exploration, benefit planning, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Supported Employment services to individuals using a person-centered approach.
  • Offer job coaching, guidance, and coordination to help participants secure and maintain employment.
  • Conduct employment research, job development, and maintain relationships with employers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided.

Requirements

  • Three years of relevant work experience in behavioral health services or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Current Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) Qualified Mental Health Associate certification or ability to register within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
  • Knowledge of mental health concepts, community resources, and evidence-based recovery models.
