Job Description
Join Marion County as a Mental Health Skills Trainer in Supported Employment, where you can make a positive impact on individuals with severe mental illness. You will be responsible for assisting individuals in finding and maintaining employment that aligns with their preferences, utilizing an evidence-based program that integrates job development, career exploration, benefit planning, and ongoing support.
Responsibilities
- Provide Supported Employment services to individuals using a person-centered approach.
- Offer job coaching, guidance, and coordination to help participants secure and maintain employment.
- Conduct employment research, job development, and maintain relationships with employers.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
Requirements
- Three years of relevant work experience in behavioral health services or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Current Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) Qualified Mental Health Associate certification or ability to register within 90 days of hire.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
- Knowledge of mental health concepts, community resources, and evidence-based recovery models.
