Job Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Microbiology Supervisor to join our team at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As part of a dynamic healthcare system, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the microbiology department, ensuring effective operations and providing leadership to technical personnel.
Responsibilities
- Enforce and promote sectional and departmental policies and procedures for operational efficiency.
- Monitor supply purchases and personnel scheduling based on patient census fluctuations.
- Act as a mentor and resource for technical personnel, providing training and guidance.
- Lead problem-solving efforts within the department and liaise with supervisors on issues and solutions.
- Develop, review, and update policy manuals to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- MT/MLT certification from ASCP required.
- 5-7 years of MT/MLS experience in a hospital lab setting.
