Job Description
We are excited to offer the MRAS 2024 Summer Internship/Coop (paid) at Middle River Aerostructure Systems! Join us at our world-leading manufacturer of thrust reversers, engine nacelle components, and specialized aerostructures based in Baltimore, MD. As part of our internship program, you will gain valuable exposure to various areas such as Design, Engineering, Lean, Manufacturing/Production, Quality, Engineering services, and Sourcing/Materials. Our experienced managers will mentor you, and you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership and functional skills through hands-on training.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects that require independent decision-making under the guidance of experienced managers.
- Develop presentations to communicate progress and share best practices.
- Analyze data and participate in job-related tasks.
- Participate in early talent events, seminars, and training sessions.
- Demonstrate trust, accuracy, and efficiency in performing assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor's or technical degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completed at least one full year of college (rising Sophomore).
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green card holder.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 24 credit hours toward an Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Material Science, or related engineering degree.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and think proactively.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
- Capable of prioritizing issues, creating solutions, and meeting deadlines.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse team.
