We are looking for dedicated teachers to join 21st Century Charter School at Gary for the 2024-2025 school year. Open Positions
- Kindergarten - 2nd grade teachers
- Intermediate (3rd-5th grade) teachers
- Middle School (6th-8th grade) teachers in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Languages, and Technology
- High School (9th-12th grade) teachers in various subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, Calculus, History, English, Writing, Foreign Languages, Advanced Technology & Robotics, and Career Preparation Courses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in the content area
- Current, valid Indiana Professional (or Initial Practitioner) Educator license for grades K-12
- Strong technical skills in integrating technology to drive academic achievement
- Experience teaching in an urban environment
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a blended learning environment
- Provide direct & indirect instruction across all subjects based on state standards
- Create an innovative & engaging learning environment
- Prepare students for strong academic achievement
- Guide students toward mastery of standards and keep parents informed of progress
- Maintain order in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules
