Job Description
We are looking for a talented Nurse Practitioner to join our Hematology/Oncology team at LifeBridge Health. This full-time position offers a competitive base salary and a $15,000 sign-on bonus. As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Medical Oncology/Hematology, your role will involve working closely with board-certified Medical Oncologists to provide comprehensive care to patients with cancer, blood disorders, and malignancies. You will be responsible for outpatient visits, ensuring patient clearance for treatment in the infusion center, and completing inpatient hospital consults as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in ambulatory and inpatient hematology/oncology practice.
- Master's degree in Nursing or Science.
- Certifications: CPR, BLS, DEA Certified. Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) preferred.
- Registered with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and Certified as a Nursing Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
- Strong clinical knowledge base in oncology and excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to the designated patient population.
- Perform physical and psychological patient assessments, diagnose, and treat illnesses.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and other diagnostic studies.
- Oversee chemotherapy and other therapies, and coordinate care with patients/families and the healthcare team.
- Support oncology research and clinical trials.
