Job Description

The Calais School, a state-approved special education institution, is seeking a dedicated part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing therapy services to students with diverse learning disabilities and disorders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services as outlined in student IEPs.
• Maintain student therapy files and communicate with the school's case manager on IEP requirements.
• Contribute to enhancing and implementing the Occupational Therapy program for optimized therapeutic outcomes.
• Supervise contracted occupational therapists and screen students for therapy needs.
• Oversee and evaluate student progress and provide support across various school activities.
• Act as a resource person within the school and conduct in-service workshops for staff development.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must hold certification as a New Jersey School Occupational Therapist.
