Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor I to join our team in Denver, CO at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As an Operations Supervisor I, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling resources to ensure timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight. Additionally, you will assign tasks to workers, provide training and feedback, maintain a safe working environment, and uphold our values-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for safe loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain appropriate load plans and ensure load balance for safe operation.
• Assign job tasks, provide training, and monitor performances.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment for all personnel.
• Foster safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
• Work collaboratively in a team setting to achieve department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in transportation or related field, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of freight handling techniques.
