Overnight ICU Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Overnight ICU Veterinary Technician to join our team at Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital in Portsmouth, NH. As an integral part of our overnight shifts, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to our hospitalized and ICU patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to a diverse range of patients including postoperative surgical patients, internal medicine cases, ICU patients, Urgent Care cases, oncology patients, and those needing ophthalmologic attention.
• Utilize advanced technical skills in sample collection, medication administration, dosage calculation, and more to ensure optimal patient treatment.
• Triage critical cases, monitor patient vitals, and communicate effectively with the medical team.
• Deliver empathetic communication to educate pet owners, update them on their pet's condition, and facilitate smooth patient discharges.

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am with rotating weekends.

Compensation

• Salary range from $22 to $40 pending skills assessment leveling.
• 15% overnight pay differential to compensate for night shifts.

Requirements

• Confident, skilled, and experienced Veterinary Technician committed to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive and respectful attitude.
• Keen on continuously enhancing skills and willing to learn and grow within a supportive team.
