Job Description
We are hiring a full-time Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Medical Surgical department at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing in Cushing, OK. As a PCT, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with daily activities, adhering to care standards, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as delivering meals, turning, and ambulating patients.
- Help patients with personal hygiene tasks like providing bedpans, baths, shampoos, and showers.
- Provide adjunct patient care including ice packs, dressings, and therapeutic baths.
- Check and record vital signs in patients' charts.
- Collaborate with nurses and staff when necessary, following professional standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Competency in at least two general areas of practice.
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Preferred: 2 years of acute or long-term care experience, completion of CNA, PCT, or EMT-P certification, or enrollment in nursing school.
