Job Description
We are currently looking for a Press Operator to join our team at Select Industries Corp. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and assisting in setups for power punch presses that automatically feed steel blanks or coils. Your role will involve adjusting feeders, installing dies, positioning clamps, and ensuring the smooth operation of the press.
Responsibilities
- Adjust feeders to synchronize actions with feed and takeoff conveyor.
- Assist in die installation using gauges and hand tools.
- Thread metal strips through pinch rollers.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas.
- Inspect and measure parts according to guidelines.
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of measuring tools.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to undergo PMA training.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety standards.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, push, reach, and bend.
- Lift up to 35 pounds and exert force occasionally.
- Visual acuity for reading gauges.
- Hearing ability to monitor machine sounds.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to high noise levels and physical hazards.
- Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
- Potential heat exposure during summer months.
