Purchasing Agent - Baltimore

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Purchasing Agent with HVAC/Plumbing experience to join our team at LEN THE PLUMBER LLC in Baltimore, MD. This position is integral to our growth and success, as you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, warehouse management, inventory, and vendor relationships. Working closely with the Warehouse & Operations team, you will ensure efficient purchasing of HVAC/Plumbing products and materials, monitor expenses, manage vendors, and track accounts and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing of materials to meet cost, timing, and quality objectives.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders to support company goals.
• Maintain vendor price lists and preferred supplier relationships.
• Prepare and verify purchase orders; ensure timely delivery.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with distributors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Resolve quantity, quality, and supply issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of procurement experience; prefer HVAC or similar industry background.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Experience/Education

• High School Diploma required; associates or college degrees preferred.
• Background in HVAC/Plumbing is advantageous.
