Job Description
Corewell Health is seeking a talented Radiology Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis during afternoons. In this role, you will perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology, ensuring patient safety and quality images for interpretation. Our ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and adhere to radiation protection principles, contributing to exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following patient verification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document in medical records.
- Monitor patient safety during procedures.
- Utilize age-appropriate methods for radiographic procedures.
- Ensure timely relay of STAT requests to radiologists.
- Effectively communicate with various departments and individuals.
- Proficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment and follow malfunction protocols.
- Provide procedural information to patients and families.
- Assist in training new employees and students.
- Maintain competency in relevant areas and adhere to quality control measures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT certification upon hire required.
- CRT-BLS (BLS) - AHA certification upon hire required.
