Job Description
We are looking for a talented Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health on a full-time basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in general radiology, ensuring patient safety and providing the best possible images for interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following verification of patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document it in the medical record.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Conduct radiographic and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow policies for malfunction handling.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas and ensure equipment cleanliness and stocking.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist within 180 days required.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association upon hire required.
