Job Description
Corewell Health is hiring a full-time Radiology Technologist Lead to join our team. As the Radiology Technologist Lead, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing general radiology services. You will be responsible for assigning and monitoring workflow, ensuring the quality and timeliness of exams, and upholding departmental policies and imaging standards. Additionally, you will provide leadership, clinical instruction, and training to staff and students while promoting a patient and family-centered care philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor staff schedules to ensure efficient patient flow and image acquisition.
- Assist in achieving site and system objectives.
- Demonstrate leadership and conflict resolution through effective problem-solving.
- Provide effective communication and collaboration with medical staff, management, and support team.
- Ensure quality assurance and control on all equipment.
- Perform radiographic procedures using age-appropriate methods and ensure ALARA standards.
- Offer procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Conduct training for new staff and students.
- Assist in annual competencies and staff evaluations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- 3-5 years' clinical staff technologist experience preferred.
- Certification by ARRT required.
- Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Working Conditions
This position requires physical effort, gross body coordination, and specific motor skills due to the nature of the role. Employee may be exposed to ionizing radiation and other hazardous materials.
