Job Description
The University of Vermont Medical Center is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Orthopedics for the Miller 6 unit. As a key member of the nursing team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients at different stages of health and illness. This role involves assessing patient needs, creating care plans, delivering direct patient care, and preparing patients for ongoing care post-discharge.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Orthopedics unit
- Work collaboratively within nursing and multidisciplinary teams
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans
- Prepare patients for post-discharge care
Requirements
- State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (All external hires and promotions to RN positions are expected to work towards BSN completion)
- Relevant experience in the Orthopedics clinical area
