Job Description
We are hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant - Surgery at SAGE San Francisco, which is now a part of Ethos Veterinary Health. As a surgical veterinary professional, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgeries.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical suites and equipment.
- Administer and monitor anesthesia.
- Provide surgical assistance and maintain aseptic technique.
- Monitor postoperative care and maintain detailed records.
- Perform radiography, imaging, and equipment maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding postoperative care.
- Assist in emergency surgeries and administer emergency medications.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical and surgical experience in a Specialty Practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle anesthesia and drug calculations.
- California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license desirable.
