Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated RN to join our Intensive Care Unit team on night shifts. As an ICU RN at ThedaCare, you will provide specialized, evidence-based nursing care that contributes to compassionate patient outcomes. Your role will involve assessment, care planning, clinical expertise, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and a commitment to enhancing patient experience and quality of care.
Key Accountabilities
- Utilize evidence-based practice to assess patient needs and develop care plans.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality care and achieve clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in the assigned specialty while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-efficiency to enhance overall care quality.
- Promote a professional environment that fosters mentorship, engagement, and retention of expert clinicians.
- Consult with physicians and team members to enhance patient care and problem-solving.
- Proactively manage risks and handle emergencies effectively to ensure patient well-being.
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin RN Licensure.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtain within 5 years.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS and PALS as required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and manual dexterity for patient care procedures.
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to various hazards with proper safety precautions.
- Standing and/or walking for extended periods during patient care.
- Possible exposure to hazardous materials and communicable diseases.
