School Based Psychotherapist (Bilingual Spanish and English)

Job Description

Esperanza Health Centers is looking for a dedicated School Based Psychotherapist who is fluent in both Spanish and English. This position involves providing mental health care services to students and families at local schools, supporting mental health goals, and collaborating with school staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, culturally appropriate psychotherapy services.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of behavioral health patients.
• Create effective treatment plans and assist patients in goal achievement.
• Participate in crisis interventions and risk prevention activities.
• Collaborate with school staff in addressing mental health issues.
• Collect and analyze mental health data for monitoring services effectiveness.
• Engage with parents/guardians, participate in parent-teacher conferences, and provide interpretation services as needed.
• Identify service-related problems and recommend improvements.
• Establish connections with community resources and advocate for patients.
• Enhance professional growth through educational programs and workshops.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
• Pre-licensed in Illinois as a Clinical Social Worker/Professional Counselor/Family Therapist.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience in clinic/hospital settings.
• Knowledge of common diagnoses and treatments for school-aged children.
