Job Description

New Era Technology is seeking a Security Installation & Service Technician to join our global team of technology professionals. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and service of Video Surveillance/Access Control systems, as well as assisting in the installation of low voltage systems. The role requires adherence to high-quality standards, professionalism, and a commitment to safety.

Primary Duties

  • Reading and understanding installation processes
  • Interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Addressing customer service issues promptly
  • Maintaining accurate service installation tickets and inventory
  • Utilizing Company software efficiently
  • Working in a safe, respectful, and collaborative manner
  • Complying with safety programs
  • Demonstrating attention to detail and dependability
  • Adapting to changing field conditions

Competencies

  • Prior experience with Video Surveillance/Access Control
  • Knowledge of PC and IP integration
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks

Required Education & Experience

  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting Video Surveillance/Access Control systems

Hours of Work: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday
