Senior Buyer

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Buyer to join Premier Marine, a company specializing in marine products. As the Purchasing Buyer, you will play a crucial role in planning and procuring materials, supplies, and services to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. This position involves managing the operational flow of items, working closely with suppliers, and collaborating across functional areas at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Order materials based on sales requirements and prioritize to meet customer orders.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and optimize safety stock levels.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives and improve product cost efficiency.
• Lead supplier negotiations and drive supplier performance initiatives.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel and MRP/ERP systems (EPICOR).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain or related field, with at least 3 years of purchasing experience.
• APICS certification preferred.

Physical Requirements
