Senior Mortgage Lender

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Mortgage Lender to join Civista Bank. In this role, you will be responsible for originating first mortgage loans, promoting the bank's lending services, and addressing the financial needs of the community. As a Senior Mortgage Lender, you will play a vital role in improving the financial lives of our employees and shareholders while making a significant impact in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to solicit first mortgage and home equity loans through referral partners and community activities.
• Meet with customers at various locations and guide them through the loan application process.
• Inform clients of underwriting guidelines and regulations, and propose suitable loan options.
• Stay updated on legislation affecting residential lending policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Participate in community activities, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and support key accountabilities.

Requirements

• Five+ years of Mortgage Lending experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of banking industry practices, compliance requirements, and Fair Lending laws.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Word, Excel, and specific software for the position.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
