Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As a member of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining open source encryption tools and libraries that help AWS customers protect their sensitive data.
Responsibilities
- Own the software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate a globally distributed business with servers and customers.
- Build foundational libraries using C and Rust to ensure security and reliability of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
- Strong background in design and architecture of scalable systems.
- Experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
