Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cryptographic solutions that protect customer data at scale in the cloud environment. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries that enable customers to safeguard their sensitive data efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including design, testing, and implementation of new features.
- Operate AWS cryptographic services globally, contributing to the development of secure and reliable software solutions.
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance the security of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of complex systems.
- Previous mentorship or team leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in the full software development life cycle.
