Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. If you are passionate about practical cryptography, designing secure software solutions, and enabling customers to protect their sensitive data, this role is ideal for you.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate globally distributed servers and customers for one of the most secure and reliable AWS services.
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance security features and user-friendly encryption tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software language.
- Leading design or architecture of new systems with a focus on reliability and scaling.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
- Experience as a mentor or leading an engineering team.
Compensation
Base pay ranges from $134,500/year to $261,500/year, based on market location and job-related factors. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive benefits package.
