Salary: $134,500 - $261,500 per year
Are you passionate about contributing to open source? Do you want to help secure web services by implementing cryptography at scale? Join the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team at AWS Cryptography to build and maintain secure, open source encryption tools. We are seeking an experienced software developer to create the most secure and user-friendly tools for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Owning the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
- Operating globally distributed servers and customers.
- Delivering foundational libraries using C and Rust for highly secure services.

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture experience.
- Experience as a mentor or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
