Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a key role in developing secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to help our customers protect their sensitive data in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including designing, prioritizing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate globally distributed servers and customers for AWS.
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to ensure high security and reliability standards.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software language.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, reliability, and scaling of systems.
- Prior experience as a mentor or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, and source control management.
