Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc., focusing on AWS Cryptography in the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team. As part of this team, you will work on building and maintaining secure, open-source encryption tools and libraries to help customers protect their sensitive data in and out of the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography
- Operate globally distributed servers and customers
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language
- Experience in design or architecture of new systems
- Previous mentorship or team leadership roles
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
