Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. AWS Cryptography team. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining secure encryption tools and libraries, enabling customers to protect their sensitive data. Your work will contribute to providing strong security controls, meeting compliance requirements, and advancing the use of cryptography in AWS services.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, prioritizing, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate AWS business with globally distributed servers and customers.
- Deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust to ensure the security and reliability of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Previous experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
